One crook in Boca Raton really put the petty in petty larceny by swiping a stranger's credit cards

and using them to go on a  shopping spree totaling ...less than $3. Wolfgang Schneider broke into

an unattended VW Passat and made off with a wallet stuffed with cards and hit the shops,

stopping at a Publix where he racked up a charge of $1.69, then high-tailed it over to a nearby

Walgreen's where he added a whopping $1.05 to the total. Schneider confessed to the theft and

was ordered held on $3,000 bond -- which he didn't have a credit card to cover.

A man pulled off a picture-perfect theft by asking a store clerk if he could snap a photo of one of

the newly designed 50 dollar bills in his cash register -- then snatching the cash and making a run

for it. The camera-toting crook walked into a Winn Dixie location and approached the counter,

where he told the clerk that he and a friend had been arguing about the look of the new bill. He

said he just needed to take a picture of one to prove his point, and asked if the employee could

hold one up so he could do so. When the clerk agreed, the thief held up his camera, snapped the

shot, then grabbed the bill away from the startled clerk. The man was last seen running into a

nearby trailer park.
