A reservoir in Portland, Oregon is set to be flushed of its 38-million gallons of water after a 19-year-old relieved himself into it.  Portland City Commissioner Nick Fish says flushing the reservoir is a "conservative but correct call," even though Water Bureau officials say the potential health risk is very small.

An Ohio man is likely going to jail for being a bad thief and a real lousy liar. Police in Columbus, Ohio, arrested Chris Wilhite for stealing $7,000 worth of text books from the McGraw-Hill warehouse where he worked. Detectives showed him surveillance footage that caught him swiping the books and then the thief fed cops this doozie of a story. He claims that he was held captive by a nasty group of kidnappers who made him steal the books because they needed them to pass their GED exams.
